4 Ways We Use AI for Content Creation

Artificial intelligence (AI) is often associated with futuristic robots or the idea that machines will eventually replace humans in their jobs.

However, AI is already present in various aspects of our daily lives, such as voice-to-text and predictive text suggestions on our phones.

At McCullough Web Services, we use AI in our web design and marketing efforts to improve our services and better serve our clients. By incorporating AI into our content creation work, we can harness the power of advanced technology to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our web design and marketing efforts.

Here’s how we incorporate AI in our content creation efforts to deliver the best results for our clients.

1. AI for Keyword Research

Conducting keyword research can be a tedious and time-consuming task, which is why it’s helpful to use tools like ChatGPT to automate part of the process.

While we still use traditional keyword research methods, ChatGPT helps us in discovering keywords that we might have otherwise overlooked. With this more thorough and efficient process, we save time and bring more traffic for more keywords to our clients’ websites.

2. AI for Generating Blog Post Ideas

For some small business owners, the number one barrier to launching a blog is coming up with topic ideas. While we love coming up with ideas for our clients, it’s nice to have an assistant in the process!

We can ask chatGPT, “What are good blog topics for defense lawyer?” and get a great list of starter ideas. From there, we can drill down once we see the broad topics. Our next question might be, “What are good blog topics about DUIs for a defense lawyer?”

3. AI for Creating Blog Post Images

Tired of endless stock photo shopping and not finding what you’re looking for?

We are, too. That’s why we’re now using DALL·E 2 to create some blog post images. We tell it what to make in real human language, and it makes a picture for us.

For example, recently we needed an image of cookies shaped like flowers, decorated with frosting. DALL·E 2 easily produced the image below:

It was quick, it was easy, it was unique, and it was exactly what we needed for our client’s blog post.

4. AI for Writing Product Descriptions

In the past, there were two main options for creating product descriptions. One option was to use the manufacturer’s descriptions, which often were not very effective. The other option was to write them yourself, which could be tedious and time-consuming, especially if you have hundreds or thousands of products.

There are now many AI software options available that can help with creating product descriptions, such as Copy.ai. These tools allow you to input the manufacturer’s description, choose the tone you want your description written in, and it will generate a unique and effective version that you can use on your website. Using AI software for product descriptions is fast and easy, and the results are often quite good.

What does the future of AI look like for our work as web designers and marketers?

Although AI can be a useful tool for automating certain processes, it is not a replacement for working with skilled web designers, marketing professionals, and content creators.

While we use cutting-edge technology to streamline our work and provide more efficient service to our clients, we mainly rely on the expertise and creativity of our team to deliver the best possible results for our clients. AI just gives us a content creation boost!
